Argentum and software company OnShift have announced a three-year corporate partnership to develop data-driven research, resources and best practices to give senior living providers new tools and insights to improve their workforce strategies.

Addressing workforce development is a key imperative for Argentum, formerly known as the Assisted Living Federation of America. The senior living industry will need to recruit 1.2 million new employees by 2025 and must continue to create attractive working environments and career paths, the organization stated in its recently released report, “Getting to 2025: A Senior Living Roadmap.”

“Workforce development is a key area of concern for our members,” said Argentum President and CEO James Balda, noting OnShift’s experience with helping senior living providers overcome workforce challenges.

“Each day, senior living providers are faced with major workforce issues, including high employee turnover, fierce competition for talent and growing wage pressures,” said CEO Mark Woodka of Cleveland-based OnShift. “OnShift’s partnership with Argentum is a significant step to helping the senior living industry move forward in overcoming workforce challenges.”
