Online caregiver marketplace CareLinx and online caregiver learning service CareAcademy.com are partnering to provide professional courses and certificates for the 150,000 caregivers who are on the CareLinx platform, the companies announced Tuesday.

“Our mission is to professionalize caregiving so that caregivers can develop more stable and secure careers and families feel more confident that they can find reliable, knowledgeable people to care for their loved ones,” said Helen Adeosun, CEO and co-founder of CareAcademy.

CareAcademy courses, which are designed by healthcare professionals, including graduates of Harvard’s medical and education schools, cover a range of topics, including interviewing skills, preventing falls, maintaining a safe environment, communicating with older adults, preventing elder abuse and neglect, and safely transferring older adults. Once caregivers complete a course, CareLinx will add the information to their online profiles.
