All 12 Senior Star senior living communities have been accredited for three years by independent, not-for-profit accreditation firm CARF.

“We sought CARF accreditation at Senior Star communities nationwide to validate our commitment to providing exceptional services to aging adults, while ensuring processes to continually meet or exceed best-practice industry standards,” Senior Star COO Anja Rogers said in a statement.

The company’s achievement, applicable to its independent living, assisted living and memory care offerings, is the highest level of accreditation that CARF awards. As part of the voluntary accreditation process, associates at each Senior Star community went through a 12-month peer-review process.

Senior Star received its first community CARF accreditation in 2005. Its communities are located in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio and Oklahoma.

Senior Resource Group and Acts Retirement-Life Communities also have CARF accreditation at all of their communities.
