Residents of Brandywine Living at Princeton in New Jersey ranging in age from 88 to 94 had a little outside fun after a snowstorm blasted the Northeast on Feb. 9.

Meanwhile, about a half hour away, at Spring Hills Somerset in Somerset, NJ, resident Betty Ryan (pictured) and others stayed warm inside making cupid-kissed candy cookies. The treats featured wafer cookies, melted chocolate and pink sprinkles. Residents enjoyed devouring their creations later while watching the “I Love Lucy” episode in which Lucy and Ethel try to keep up with a conveyor belt while working in a candy factory.

The storm brought more than a foot of snow to some areas of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, causing power outages and the closure of some airports, government offices and schools.
