Assisted living communities have until Dec. 4 to submit management salary, nonmanagement wage and fringe benefit information to the Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service for its Assisted Living/Personal Care Salary & Benefits Report.

The annual study is published by HCS and supported by the National Center for Assisted Living and LeadingAge. The most recently published report (pictured) contained data from more than 1,300 communities across the country.

Questionnaires are available online. Respondents should expect questions that enable HCS to share anonymous information about salary and bonus payments according to unit size, profit type, revenue size, Census Bureau Statistical Area, state and region (national results will be shared as well). Participants also will be asked about 18 types of fringe benefits and percent increases their companies plan for 2018 for management, nonmanagement, RNs, LPNs and CNAs.

There is no cost to participate in the study, but participating communities can purchase the results at the reduced price of $175 (versus the $350 nonparticipant rate). Publication is scheduled for January.

The Dec. 4 date is an extension of the original deadline, so communities planning to participate should inform HCS by emailing Rich Cioffe at [email protected].

The report is one of 10 published by HCS. The most recently released report covers rehabilitation salaries and benefits. To order a copy, visit the HCS website or call (201) 405-0075.
