More than 1,600 participants are attending the PointClickCare SUMMIT, which began Monday in Orlando, FL. That’s record-setting attendance, according to cloud-based software platform PointClickCare, and marks continued growth since the event’s inception in 2011.

“By bringing together the long-term care/post-acute industry’s best and brightest for three days of networking and education, we hope to facilitate new relationships, spark lively debates that shed light on multiple sides of controversial topics, and inspire innovation and new ways of thinking that will ultimately help our customers be more successful,” said Mike Wessinger, the company’s CEO.

Some senior living-related highlights:

  • Dana Wollschlager of Plante Moran Living Forward discussed serving the middle income market in assisted living on Monday and will discuss pricing rent and services on Tuesday.
  • Also on Tuesday, Lynne Katzmann, founder and president of Juniper Communities, will join representatives from Brookdale Senior Living and Responsive Group to discuss patient-for-life relationships and how senior living operators can leverage this concept to increase their business opportunities.

The event also includes 59 sponsoring partners.

More than 13,000 skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities and home health agencies in North America use PointClickCare systems, according to the company.
