GrandCare has a variety of virtual caregiving programs focused on every level of care.

In booth 2044 in the exhibit hall of the LeadingAge annual meeting, senior monitoring and telehealth provider GrandCare Systems launched a new program designed for independent living providers and touting a seamless integration with wireless nurse call company RCare Inc. The program is designed for folks who live in a community with little to no hands-on services.

GrandCare’s large touchscreen connects residents with their families with features such as one-touch video chat and family photo sharing. Additional features include community activity schedules, dining room menu options, event flyers, reminders, emergency broadcasting, brain games, videos, weather/news and more. Optional activity and telehealth monitoring sensors can be added for any resident.

“Today’s families expect highly connected and state-of-the-art care communities for their loved ones,” said GrandCare Systems founder and CEO Charles Hillman. “GrandCare can empower independent residents to feel even more independence while connecting them to community events and their family members — without any technology experience.”

The GrandCare solution also creates new revenue streams from on-demand concierge services that can be ordered right from a resident’s touchscreen. The numbers for a variety of services, from transportation to salon services to nurse consultations, can be input. All or a portion of the fee goes to the community, based on whether the services are offered in-house or are outsourced.
