The LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies has updated its telehealth selection portfolio with an enhanced online selection tool and product matrix and two new case studies.

“Telehealth is one of the fastest-evolving healthcare technologies that has the potential to greatly improve organizations’ efficiency and quality of care,” said Majd Alwan, Ph.D., LeadingAge’s senior vice president for technology and executive director of CAST. “We are proud to put this free and comprehensive set of resources in the hands of care providers to help them develop innovative care models that take advantage of the capabilities of these technologies.”

The portfolio now includes:

  • An enhanced product selection matrix and online selection tool that compares 19 different products to help providers better understand functionalities offered by commercially available telehealth/remote patient monitoring vendors. This year, the product selection matrix also is published in Excel format to allow providers to sort and delete products and perform side-by-side comparisons of the products that interest to them.
  • A whitepaper designed to help organizations understand the range of issues surrounding telehealth and outline technology solutions available in the marketplace, as well as their uses and benefits.
  • An interactive guide to help executives quickly get an overview of telehealth, the  whitepaper and planning and selection process.
  • Two new case studies — of Camelot Brookside Care Center and Banner Health, which includes the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute and the Banner Olive Branch Senior Center — that examine how telehealth protocols improved efficiencies.
