The InTouch at Home provides senior living residents with onsite access to board-certified or board-eligible physicians. Through the program, a patient’s vital signs are measured and relayed to a physician in real time. The patient then consults face-to-face with the doctor, who provides the appropriate next steps in care—without their having to leave the community.
La Vida Real, a senior living community in Rancho San Diego,CA, offers the program to residents for a monthly fee if they are registered InTouch at Home clients. There is no fee to register with InTouch at Home.
Monthly membership for the telemedicine services includes two monthly scheduled visits, or one monthly emergency visit. Supplemental care also is available at additional costs.
InTouch at Home telemedicine program membership also gives residents’ access to MyUCSDChart, a secure way to send messages to physicians, check test results, view prescription history and make clinic appointments.
