A former employee of a Georgia assisted living facility has pleaded guilty to charges related to the death of a resident whose remains were found buried in a shed on the facility’s property in August 2014, according to local media reports.

Diana Jacobs will be sentenced Aug. 31 on charges of concealing a death and exploitation of an elder/disabled adult. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse at Rosewood Manor in  Nicholls, GA, where Alexander Hunter had lived. McKnight’s formerly relayed that the facility was reported to have six beds.

Jacobs’ husband, Mark, and son, Coy, face financial fraud charges in connection with the case, according to media reports.

The facility was owned and operated by Diana Jacobs’ mother, Helen Malphus, who was arrested in 2015 for false statements and writings, concealment of facts and fraudulent documents. That case is still pending.
