A woman has pleaded guilty to three felonies stemming from the exploitation of residents of a Billings, MT, senior living community.

Loree Amann pleaded guilty Jan. 8 to charges of theft, deceptive practices and elder abuse by exploitation of residents of River Ridge Assisted Living, reports the Billings Gazette. From 2007 to 2012, she reportedly stole more than $45,000 from residents of the Welcov Healthcare community, in the form of homeowner and renter credits, cash or other assets, and property. At least 17 residents were affected.

As part of a plea agreement, Amann will pay more than $30,000 in restitution to the residents — covering the amount she stole after November 2009, since a statute of limitations applied to previous crimes. She received a deferred six-year sentence.
