McKnight’s Senior Living’s website has won a Platinum Award, the highest honor in the Hermes Creative Awards, as well as 10 additional awards in the 2020 competition.
The international contest is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. All awards were for work completed in 2019.
McKnightsSeniorLiving.com won a Platinum Award in the Website Overall, Business-to-Business category. Named on the honor were Editor Lois A. Bowers, Editorial Director John O’Connor and Art Director Mark Speakman. This is the third consecutive year that the brand has entered this category, winning a Platinum Award every time.
McKnight’s Senior Living staff members collectively also won or shared 10 other awards for work on the brand.
Individually, McKnight’s Senior Living won five more awards:
- Bowers, O’Connor and Speakman won a Gold Award for the McKnight’s Senior Living Daily Briefing e-newsletter.
- Bowers won a Gold Award for a blog, “Older Adults: Images, Reality Don’t Always Match”
- Speakman won a Gold Award for design of the McKnight’s Senior Living media kit.
- O’Connor won an honorable mention for a blog, “When it comes to labor relations, maybe we can’t handle the truth.”
- Bowers won an honorable mention for a blog, “Former LeadingAge CEO Larry Minnix has some advice for the assisted living sector.”
McKnight’s Senior Living also shared five awards with sister brand McKnight’s Long-Term Care News. All were awards earned for work completed by Speakman:
- A Gold Award for a promotional email he designed for the McKnight’s 40 for 40 program, a joint project of McKnight’s Senior Living and sister media brand McKnight’s Long-Term Care News marking the 40th anniversary of the brand by celebrating 40 newsmakers.
- A Gold Award for the “Book of the Night” program for the McKnight’s Women of Distinction Awards, a joint project of McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Long-Term Care News honoring established and promising professionals in senior living and skilled nursing.
- A Gold Award for design of a welcome banner for the McKnight’s Women of Distinction Awards.
- An honorable mention for design of the McKnight’s 40th anniversary logo.
- An honorable mention for design of the McKnight’s 40 for 40 logo.
Separately, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News won six awards.
