Two employees of an assisted living community in Pensacola, FL, have been sentenced for abuse and neglect, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The state Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigated Belie Brock Williams, former administrator for Kipling Manor, and Adrienne Taylor, former assistant administrator. Williams refused entrance to psychological nursing caregivers, causing some residents to not receive care for two to three weeks, according to a news release. Taylor did not protect the residents from abuse and did not ensure that the residents received the prescribed nursing services, the attorney general’s office said.
Williams pled as charged to three counts of abuse. She was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison.
Taylor pled to one count of neglect. In a separate case, she pled to tampering with a witness, tampering with evidence and providing false information to a law enforcement officer during an investigation. Taylor was sentenced to two years of community control.
