Seattle-based senior living referral service A Place for Mom‎ is adding the Carrollton, TX-based OurParents brand to its portfolio of services focused on helping families find services and care solutions, the company announced Thursday.

OurParents adds almost 2,500 senior living partners to the A Place for Mom partner network, which will now top 20,000, according to A Place for Mom.

“With this combination of brands, A Place for Mom and OurParents can bring our local service model to even more families,” said Sean Kell, CEO of A Place for Mom. The company has 350 local senior living advisers and has aided more than 2 million families since its founding 16 years ago, he said.

A Place for Mom traditionally has focused on major metropolitan markets, whereas OurParents specializes in helping families in smaller cities, suburban and rural areas, where many of the homes and communities are independent owner / operator organizations.

Nov. 3, RealPage, operator of the OurParents.com website, announced in its third-quarter financial results that it had agreed to sell for $5 million some of its assets associated with its senior living referral services to A Place for Mom on Oct. 26. The companies also agreed to collaborate to improve lead transparency using A Place for Mom and RealPage’s senior living customer relationship management platform.
