After 65 years, Cincinnati-based Episcopal Retirement Homes has changed its name to Episcopal Retirement Services, effective Feb 16.
“ERS has developed, for more than a half-century, into a premier, innovative, thought-leadership position in our field,” said President and CEO Doug Spilter. “Changing our name is a completely logical, evolutionary transition to more accurately represent what Episcopal Retirement Services has become, and where we are headed.”
ERS services range from the independent living setting known as Marjorie P. Lee and Deupree House; to a range of services at Affordable Living by ERS, which provides community living for low-income older adults in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky; to a combination of in-home and community-based services such as Deupree Meals On Wheels; Parish Health Ministry, which supports church health ministries through advocacy, education and wellness programs; and Living Well Senior Solutions, a program that provides guidance to elders and their families on issues related to aging.
ERS now serves more than 1,500 residents and serves another 12,000 people through the community-based services it provides, including parishioners from 77 churches served by Parish Health Ministry and 300 seniors who are clients of Deupree Meals On Wheels. The resident population continues to grow with the rapid expansion of Affordable Living by ERS, which now serves more than 1,100 low-income older adults.
