Cindy LaFleur has been named executive director of the Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire, KS, effective March 1.

LaFleur will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the largest continuing care retirement community in south central Kansas. Catholic Care Center offers independent living, assisted living, memory support residences, adult day program, long-term care, post-acute care and Catholic Care at Home services.

The center is a joint venture between Ascension Senior Living and the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. It formerly was managed by Via Christi and is now managed by Ascension Senior Living, a national senior care ministry created by Ascension.

LaFleur joins Ascension Senior Living after 20 years with Via Christi, where she was most recently the senior administrator of post-acute care. She also has served as president of Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital, vice president of rehabilitation services and director of rehabilitation and occupational health services. LaFleur also held a variety of positions at Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph in Wichita.

“Cindy’s strategic and operational leadership for two of Via Christi’s free-standing specialty hospitals, coupled with her experience developing new care models and pathways with Via Christi Villages and Home Care, will help her provide the compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care we are known for,” said Rick Cumberland, chief operating officer of Ascension Senior Living.
