Mainstreet’s first transitional care center in Texas, The Healthcare Resort of Plano, is expected to open in mid-March. The property, which represents a total community investment of $16 million, will provide assisted living, short-stay rehabilitation and therapy.

“We remain steadfast in our mission to transform the way healthcare is delivered nationwide,” said Zeke Turner, founder and CEO of Mainstreet. “The Healthcare Resort of Plano ultimately gives aging Americans what they want — more services, more amenities and more attention.” Those amenities will include a therapy gym, an outdoor rehabilitation courtyard, a spa, a movie theater, an on-site chef and more.

The community will have 100 beds and a total of 68,203 square feet. Construction started in March 2014. Mainstreet developed The Healthcare Resort of Plano, and The Ensign Group, Inc. will operate it.
