Murfreesboro, TN-based real estate investment trust National Health Investors announced that it will lease two newly acquired assisted living and memory care communities to affiliates of a new partner, Saginaw, MI-based Comfort Care Senior Living, a five-year-old owner, operator and developer.

The new communities include 51-unit Bavarian Comfort Care in Bridgeport, MI, and 53-unit Shields Comfort Care in Saginaw, MI. They were purchased for a total of $17.1 million, according to the REIT.

“NHI is pleased to have a new partner in Comfort Care Senior Living, a growth-oriented operator with an excellent reputation and demonstrated innovative operating concepts,” said NHI President and CEO Eric Mendelsohn.

The REIT also will have a purchase option on two additional senior living communities in Michigan.
