Omega Communities has announced plans for its latest development in Stockbridge, GA. The $45 million community will be called Lake Vista at Eagle's Landing and will feature more than 150 units for independent living, assisted living and memory care.

Construction on 10 acres is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, with completion in 12 to 14 months, Taylor said. His goal is to conduct the grand opening by Christmas 2017. Amenities will include appointed suites and a courtyard, pool, library, beauty salon, exercise room, banquet hall, exploration room, nature trail and three-acre lake formed from a natural spring.

The location next door to Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in keeping with Omega Communities' model of offering service and care at locations adjacent to “community-impacting churches” with which it can partner in affinity relationships.

“We at Omega Communities are extremely excited and honored — humbled even — to partner with Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church and be a part of a great vision,” said Jimmy Taylor, Omega's COO. “It's not just about the relationship between faith-based organizations like Eagle's Landing First Baptist and a senior living community, but it's the overall vision of the Eagle's Landing team for the span-of-life opportunities that they are bringing to the Stockbridge-McDonough area.”

Omega's latest continuing care community is part of a grander plan for Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church to construct a ministry village on its remaining 55 acres along Highway 42 North. Preliminary plans for the ministry village will include new construction for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Henry County, Eagle's Landing Christian Counseling Center and Uniting Hope for Children, a foster and adoption ministry.

The Stockbridge development is one of four Omega communities planned in 2016. The others are in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, and Lady Lake, FL. Omega recently opened continuing care communities in Sarasota and North Port, FL. The company partners with Greenbrier Development, Greenbrier Senior Living, and three:living architecture to provide care.
