Dan Fagin named president and CEO of CJE SeniorLife

Dan Fagin began serving as president and CEO of CJE SeniorLife, Chicago, after a national search, effective Aug. 13. Previously, he was CEO of Cedar Village Retirement Community, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Mason, OH.

Before Cedar Village, Fagin was chief operating officer of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati from 2012 to 2015. There, he developed a new shared service organization for Jewish communal agencies and congregations and launched SAFE Cincinnati, a Jewish community security and disaster planning initiative.

From 2002 to 2012, Fagin was a managing director and healthcare industry leader for Protiviti, a global consulting firm with the goal of helping business leaders identify, anticipate and solve business problems. He also has worked in managerial and information technology roles for Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young, Kettering Medical Center and Florida Hospital over the course of his 30-year career.

Fagin earned an undergraduate degree in finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an MBA from Thomas More College.

Dan Bohler is executive director of Celebration Village Forsyth

Dan Bohler has been named executive director of Celebration Village Forsyth, a 325-home master-planned AgeWell Living independent living community, assisted living and memory care community in Suwanee, GA.

In his new role, Bohler will be responsible for ensuring that the community’s core philosophy of Masterpiece Living is implemented in day-to-day operations and remains integral to the community’s growth.

Bohler joins Celebration Village with 27 years of experience with senior living communities. He most recently was executive director of Discovery Village at Sugarloaf, Suwanee, GA, where he was responsible for overall operation and management. Before that, he was campus executive director of Oak Manor Senior Living and regional director of operations for The Barrington Assisted Living, both in Largo, FL.

After graduating from Clearwater Christian College with an undergraduate degree in business administration, Bohler began his career in senior living as a prep cook, then a marketing manager and ultimately an administrator in Venice, FL.

Sarah Viola hired as memory care coordinator at Primrose home office

Sarah Viola has been hired as memory care coordinator by Primrose Retirement Communities‘ home office in Aberdeen, SD.

In this new role, she will will develop and refine memory care programming for Primrose communities in Aberdeen, SD; Anderson, IN; Newburgh, IN; Rogers, AR; Wausau, WI; Lancaster, OH; Appleton, WI; and Midland, MI. Viola will train staff members in providing care for residents with dementia, encourage excellence in performance and monitor how Primrose memory care communities are applying a person-centered approach to their care. She also will conduct site visits to various Primrose communities.

Viola has a master’s degree in occupational therapy. Before joining Primrose, she worked in home health, long-term care, rehabilitation, acute care and geriatric psychiatric environments.
