Lisa A. Fordyce has been named chief operating officer of Senior Lifestyle, a Chicago-based owner, operator and developer of senior living communities. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading the overall operational business strategies and care initiatives for the company.
“As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, it’s imperative to identify key personnel with forward-thinking leadership qualities that will continue to assure that Senior Lifestyle stays on the cutting edge of progress,” said Bill Kaplan, co-founder and chairman of Senior Lifestyle. “Lisa has 25 years of experience in the senior housing industry and is one of the premier operations executives I’ve had the opportunity to work with.”
Jon DeLuca, president and chief executive officer of the company, said that Fordyce has displayed comprehensive knowledge of senior housing during her two years with Senior Lifestyle. Before joining Senior Lifestyle, Fordyce was a vice president of operations at Emeritus Senior Living, where she led its Midwest Division of 14 states and more than 60 communities for nearly a decade. She began her career as a caregiver and nurse and served in a variety of nursing positions in assisted living, intermediate and skilled nursing settings.
Fordyce is a licensed practical nurse, a member of the Ohio Assisted Living Association’s Board of Trustees and a past chairwoman and current member of the Assisted Living Federation of America Regional Executives Round Table.
