A common area in the assisted living portion of Grandview Terrace Health and Rehabilitation.

Grandview Terrace Health and Rehabilitation by Sun Health, Sunrise, AZ, has finished building a 20-suite residence for up to 30 people who need assistance with activities of daily living. It is slated to open to residents this month once proper licensure has been obtained.

The ground floor features a Starbucks cafe, gift shop, movie theater, chapel/library, spa and salon area, a restaurant-style dining room, a multipurpose room and a health clinic staffed by a physician.

The second floor contains one two-bedroom, 13 one-bedroom and six studio suites, each with a kitchenette, full bath and closet space. The one- and two-bedroom suites also include a living room. The second floor also features a lounge with fireplace, a business center, several gathering spaces, a community kitchen and a fitness area.

Grandview Terrace’s assisted living project is the last phase of a multi-million dollar complete renovation of the Grandview Terrace Health and Rehabilitation campus, previously known as Grandview Care Center. A skilled nursing unit, a sub-acute rehabilitation unit and an indoor-therapy pool in the rehabilitation department were remodeled. Construction crews also built a 16-suite memory support residence, designed specifically for people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

The design-build team for the project consisted of The Weitz Company (contractor), Orcutt-Winslow Partnership (architect), HilgartWilson (civil engineering) and Thoma-Holec Design (interior design).
