SeniorAdvisor.com announced that more than 1,600 senior living communities have been recognized as among the best in the business.
The fifth annual awards program identifies firms that families have rated as exemplary. Fully 63% of the winners offer assisted living, whereas half offer Alzheimer’s care. Operators had to maintain an average overall rating of 4.5 stars (on a five-star scale) to qualify. They also had to receive at least four reviews this year.
“These communities have earned the stamp of approval from the people most qualified to rate them — residents and families,” said Ben Opps, general manager of SeniorAdvisor. Population-rich California, Florida and Texas had the most winners.
One hundred thirty of Brentwood, TN-based Brookdale Senior Living communities made the list, 87 of Winter Park, FL-based Holiday Retirement’s communities were honored, and Chicago-based Enlivant saw 72 of its communities make the list.
“It’s clear by resident and family feedback we are making great progress,” said Enlivant CEO Jack R. Callison Jr.
