It was a great way for me to end my work week last week, to learn that McKnight’s Senior Living is up for a Website of the Year award and other accolades recognizing the efforts we put into keeping you and your fellow professionals in the senior living industry informed of the latest news and thought leadership related to matters that are important to your livelihood.
It’s a feeling I imagine several women in the field are going to experience this week when McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Long-Term Care News announce the recipients of our inaugural Women of Distinction awards. Rising Stars will be revealed on Wednesday, and Hall of Honor inductees will be shared on Thursday.
What a thrill it was for my colleagues and I, along with our panel of industry judges, to review the overwhelming number of nominations we received in this first year of the program. They’re all winners in our books, and we also appreciate PointClickCare for supporting our new program.
You’ll be hearing more about the honorees soon, and we look forward to sharing more women’s stories in future years of the program, as it was not possible to recognize everyone who was deserving of an award this year.
Also coming soon will be the details of the live event we’ll be hosting to celebrate the wealth of talent in senior living and skilled care. (Psst: It will be in May in Chicago.) You also can look forward to the announcement of our Lifetime Achievement Award winner, who will be feted at the event.
