Chicago-based CA Senior Living LLC, the senior housing investment and development division of CA Ventures, is expanding its Anthology Senior Living operating platform to 18 of its communities.
The move is expected to streamline reporting and back-office operations through shared legal, information technology, payroll and other services.
“Centralizing, standardizing and optimizing operations through the Anthology platform will allow us to more directly effect change at the community level, to be nimble in a dynamic and competitive industry, and to create an environment where we can execute on forward-thinking strategies through training, programming, technology and a culture of excellence,” CA Senior Living President Ben Burke said in a statement. “Going forward, Anthology will operate most communities we develop, because we’re already intimately familiar with the designs and markets and are invested in their long-term success.”
The affected communities include 12 senior living communities recently acquired from NorthPoint Development, one acquired from a joint venture between Greystar and The Carlyle Group, and five CA Senior Living communities under construction. They are located primarily in the Midwest and include Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio, as well as Texas and Connecticut. The properties offer a mix of independent living, assisted living and memory support residences.
“We’re excited to scale this platform so it’s accessible to older adults living in markets across the country,” CA Senior Living Executive Vice President of Operations Carrie Traetow said.
Fifteen communities will continue to operate with the firm’s operating partners.
