Robin Run Village, a continuing care retirement community (or life plan community) in Indianapolis managed by Brookdale Senior Living, has added an $11 million three-story building to expand its assisted living and dementia care services. The project is part of a capital and investment and community management joint venture between Brookdale and Health Care Properties.
The new building’s top floor is dedicated to those who have Alzheimer’s and other dementias, offering 25 apartments in a secured setting and Brookdale’s Clare Bridge program of care. Clare Bridge designs its activities based on the interests of individual residents, matching current abilities and providing for purpose and accomplishment. The Clare Bridge area also includes a spa and a rooftop terrace and pergola.
The first and second floors have 43 assisted living apartments and amenities such as a library, activity rooms, a bistro/pub area, a lounge and private dining rooms. With the project completed, Robin Run Village now can accommodate about 700 residents on its 86-acre campus.
As a CCRC, Robin Run Village had already offered assisted living and dementia care, as well as independent living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation. “This expansion of our assisted living and Clare Bridge Alzheimer’s and dementia care program gives us more capacity to meet needs as they change and evolve,” said Robin Run Village Executive Director David Pruett.
