two older adults walk on a path

Catonsville, MD-based Erickson Living and National Senior Campuses on Friday announced a joint venture involving the development, management and oversight of new continuing care retirement communities across the United States.

Erickson Living will develop and manage the communities, and NSC will provide oversight.

Erickson currently manages 19 communities in 11 states that collectively are home to more than 27,000 residents and the workplace for more than 15,000 people. Two additional communities are under development. NSC provides governance, strategic planning, financial and operational oversight, and support to its affiliates, which comprise the majority of the communities managed by Erickson Living.

“As the nation’s 65-and-older population is increasingly exploring retirement living options, NSC values the opportunity to further expand our relationship with Erickson Living,” NSC Chairperson Michelle Bohreer said.

NSC is the largest not-for-profit multi-site senior living organization, according to the LeadingAge Ziegler 200 list for 2020.

Erickson is No. 6 on Argentum’s list of largest senior living operators for 2020.
