HHHunt expects to open its first community completely dedicated to memory care in the fall of 2016.

Ground was broken for Spring Arbor of Salisbury Memory Care in Midlothian, VA, in late September. The 48,275-square foot building is adjacent to Spring Arbor of Salisbury, one of HHHunt’s six existing senior living communities in the state. The Richmond, VA-based company also owns and manages communities in North Carolina and Maryland.

“The demand for memory care has been increasing at a rapid pace,” said Sally Sperberg, executive director for Spring Arbor of Salisbury. “This new community will be able to accommodate 48 residents and add approximately 40 new Spring Arbor team members who have extensive training in the areas of Alzheimer’s and dementia.”

The community will emphasize resident activities such as art and music programs will continue the “Art from the Heart” program, which provides residents with an outlet for their creativity and allows them to enjoy communication and expression through art.
