Raleigh, NC-based Navion Senior Solutions is more than tripling the number of senior living communities it develops, constructs, manages or advises — increasing from four to 14 — through a partnership with Tampa, FL-based Longview Senior Housing Advisors, the company announced Monday.

Navion will assume the operations of 10 communities offering independent living, assisted living, memory care and / or short stay programs in Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

“We are thrilled to partner with Longview to serve the residents, families and staff of the new communities joining the Navion family,” Navion President and CEO Stephen Morton said in a statement.

Morton, with his son Arick, co-founded Navion Senior Solutions in May 2015. The elder Morton was the previous co-founder and president of Chapel Hill, NC-based Southern Assisted Living, which Brookdale Senior Living acquired in 2006. Before that, he was the CEO of Greensboro, NC-based Bell Senior Living, which Five Star Senior Living acquired in 2012.

“We are confident that Steve and the Navion team will do a great job for us and the residents in our communities,” Longview CEO Thilo Best said. The Blackstone portfolio company oversees 87 properties across 23 states.
