Older Americans Month logo for 2016

“Blaze a Trail” will be the theme for Older Americans Month in May 2016, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Community Living has announced.

The observance was established in 1963. This year’s events will “raise awareness about issues facing older adults and highlight the way older Americans are advocating for themselves, their peers and their communities,” according to the ACL. More information about how providers can participate in Older Americans Month will be announced at a later date.
