J&M Family Management names Sharon Shields-Rios VP of healthcare

Sharon Shields-Rios, BSN, RN, has joined J&M Family Management, Grapevine, TX, as vice president of healthcare.
J&M operates Autumn Leaves stand-alone memory care communities. Shields-Rios originally joined the company in 2011, holding positions in regional leadership, healthcare training and quality assurance over five years.
In her new position, Shields-Rios will be responsible for the development and management of community healthcare teams, providing clinical support and guiding wellness policies. She also will oversee the company’s life engagement programming.
Shields-Rios most recently was director of clinical compliance and risk management for American House Senior Living. Before that, she held regional-level positions at various senior living communities.

Pegasus welcomes Stacy Woltz as divisional VP of sales
Stacy Woltz has joined Pegasus as east regional vice president of sales.
In this role, she is responsible for sales coaching oversight at Pegasus communities in Alabama, Georgia and New York.
Woltz has a degree in English education as well as an MBA.
The Springs Living names Laura Larson senior director of community experience

Laura Larson has joined The Springs Living, McMinnville, OR, as senior director of community experience, a newly created role.
In this position, Larson will be in charge of operational excellence of the resident experience through the culinary, resident relations, life enrichment and footsteps memory care programs across the community’s continuum of services.
Larson previously had been regional director of operations at The Springs Living since 2014. In this capacity, she oversaw operations of many of the company’s Oregon-based communities, such as those in Eugene, Medford, Salem and The Dalles. Along with these regional responsibilities, Larson facilitated the company’s efforts toward life enrichment and Footsteps memory care programs.
Larson joined The Springs Living in 2003 as director of operations. Her early career involved supporting people with intellectual disabilities, including people with both mental health and cognitive challenges. She is a certified behavior specialist and trainer in positive behavior support and has provided training and consultation throughout Oregon.
Larson studied psychology and special education at Umpqua Community College and Arizona State University.
Peachtree Hills Place hires Brandon O’Ree, Amy Sullivan

Amy Sullivan has been hired by Peachtree Hills Place, an Isakson Living life plan community in Atlanta, as director of lifestyle services. Brandon O’Ree has joined The Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place as executive director for assisted living and memory care.
In her new role, Sullivan and her team will orchestrate educational, social and philanthropic member events and ensure that all of the community’s residents have valuable engagement experiences.

Sullivan has an undergraduate degree in health sciences and pre-medical studies from Michigan State University.
In his new role, O’Ree will be in charge of daily operations, such as management, staffing and regulatory compliance of the 85-home community making up four levels of person-centered care.
O’Ree has an MBA from Georgia Southern University, is a licensed nursing home administrator in both Georgia and Alabama, and is a certified director of assisted living in Georgia.
Mission Senior Living hires Steve Lien as Three Rivers Estates administrator
Steve Lien has been hired by Carson City, NV-based Mission Senior Living as the administrator at Three Rivers Estates, a senior living and memory care community in Farmington, NM. The community is under construction and is scheduled to open later this year.
In his role, Lien will work with Mission Senior Living project managers during the completion of construction, as well as oversee marketing and sales. Lien is also vice chair and board member for the Farmington Chamber of Commerce and a member of the San Juan Medical Foundation.
Before joining the company, he was regional director of franchise development and general manager at New Mexico-based Defined Fitness.
Windsor Run promotes Karen Kollmer to director of general services

Karen Kollmer has been promoted to director of general services at Windsor Run, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Matthews, NC. She formerly was facilities manager.
In her new role, Kollmer will lead a team of 44 employees, including those at two new buildings to come in the fall: the White Oak Terrace independent living residences and the Piedmont Overlook continuing care neighborhood. Additionally, Kollmer will oversee transportation, security, hospitality and facility services to residents and employees.
Kollmer has more than three decades of experience, including working for multiple Erickson-managed communities and the corporate office. She has worked at Windsor Run since 2018.
Acts Retirement–Life Communities names two to boards
Rev. Eugene “Tony” Soper has joined the board of directors for Westminster Village of Spanish Fort, AL, and Elizabeth (Barrie) Frazier Meima has been elected to the board of directors of Heron Point of Chestertown of Chestertown, MD. Both are affiliates of Acts Retirement-Life Communities.
Soper is a resident of Westminster Village and will continue to minister to residents and staff. He has spent more than 50 years in ministry in a variety of United Methodist Church conferences. Soper has an undergraduate degree from McKendree College and a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Meima is a Heron Point resident and has served in a variety of leadership roles at places such as Chester Valley Health Foundation, United Way of Kent County and the National Legal Aid & Defender Organization. Previously at Heron Point, she was president of the Heron Point Resident Council and chair of the Resident Renovations Committee.
McShane Construction taps Jason Breden to lead new office in Nashville, TN
Jason Breden has been selected to lead the new office of McShane Construction Co. in Nashville, TN. The company is expanding its Southeastern region construction.
Breden, vice president and director of Nashville operations, is a company veteran and has more than 20 years of experience working for McShane. He has managed the construction of more than 30 projects in the multi-family, industrial, commercial and education sectors in the Midwest and Southeast.
