United Methodist Communities promotes Roberta Voloshin to VP of marketing and communications

Roberta Voloshin

Roberta Voloshin has been promoted to vice president of marketing and communications at United Methodist Communities. In this role, she drives overall brand awareness and leads all strategic and integrated marketing and communications functions.

Voloshin previously served as the corporate director of marketing for 14 years.

In addition to the home office marketing communications team, Voloshin oversees four campus sales teams — Bristol Glen in Newton, Collingswood, Pitman and The Shores in Ocean City. Her responsibilities include developing, executing and monitoring marketing plans; training; sales support; analyzing trends; maintaining census and occupancy; and providing tactical direction.

Voloshin has an undergraduate degree in business marketing from Montclair State University. She has more than 25 years of professional experience as a project manager, director of marketing, market analyst, sales administrator and customer service representative. 

Estancia Senior Living names Beverly McGuirk executive director

Beverly McGuirk

Beverly McGuirk is the new executive director at Estancia Senior Living, a Meridian Senior Living community opening this fall in Fallbrook, CA.

McGuirk, most recently was executive director for a senior living community in San Diego, has more than 27 years of experience in the healthcare field. She previously held positions within other healthcare organizations, including executive director, assisted living director, resident service director, charge nurse and admissions and marketing director.

McGuirk has certifications in residential care facilities for the elderly, director of staff development and first aid. She has a degree in nursing from Mira Costa College and training as an emergency medical technician at Palomar College. 

Legacy Pointe at UCF names Josh Smith executive director

Josh Smith

Josh Smith is the new executive director at Legacy Pointe at UCF, a University of Central Florida-affiliated life plan community under construction in Oviedo, FL, near the main campus. The community is expected to open in summer 2021.

Smith, a 2004 alumnus of the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management as well as a graduate of Liberty University, brings 16 years of senior living experience to Legacy Pointe at UCF. He previously was an executive director for Life Care Services and Brookdale Senior Living in Bradenton, FL, and held various operational roles with Virginia Baptist Homes (now LifeSpire of Virginia) in Richmond, VA.

Legacy Pointe at UCF is managed by Greytsone and will offer independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. 

While serving as executive director, Smith plans to return as a student at UCF to earn his Ph.D. in hospitality management.

Vi at Bentley Village announces Jeremy Hinds as new director of sales

Jeremy Hinds

Jeremy Hinds has been selected as director of sales for Vi at Bentley Village, a continuing care retirement community in Naples, FL. In this position, he directs all sales efforts, manages a team of eight sales members and represents the retirement community to the larger Naples and Bonita Springs, FL, area.

Originally from Traverse City, MI, Hinds has called southwest Florida home since relocating in 2000. He brings more than 20 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience to his new role. For the past 12 years, he was the market director of group sales for the Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples.

Hinds has an undergraduate degree in business management and psychology from Albion College in Albion, MI. He is nationally certified as a hospitality sales executive / professional. 

Oakmont of Fresno names executive director, health services director

Heidi Setty

Heidi Setty has been named executive director, and Miya Prosser has been named health services director at Oakmont of Fresno in Fresno, CA.

Setty joins Oakmont Senior Living having been an administrator for more than two decades. She formerly had oversight for 15 communities as a financial consultant, too.

Setty attended California State University, Fresno, and received an undergraduate degree in natural sciences-biology and an MBA in human resources.

Prosser started her nursing career while in high school, becoming a certified nursing assistant and then a licensed vocational nurse. She plans to return to school to become an RN one day. Her work experience includes skilled nursing and assisted living.

Waltonwood Lake Boone names Chelsea Gray marketing manager

Chelsea Gray

Chelsea Gray is the new marketing manager at Waltonwood Lake Boone, Raleigh, NC. She brings more than six years of senior living experience to her new position, having spent two years at a sister community, Waltonwood Cary Parkway in Cary, NC.

Gray’s senior living experience began in college when she worked part-time for her aunt at a Northern Virginia community. After graduating with a public health studies degree from East Carolina University, she worked in marketing at two senior living companies before making the move to Waltonwood, which offers independent living, assisted living and memory care.

Ohio Living appoints James P. Joyce and Bob Parker to statewide board

Westerville, OH-based Ohio Living has appointed two new members to its corporate board of directors: James Joyce and Robert “Bob” Parker. They began their terms July 1.

Joyce is an engineer with more than 35 years of experience in the engineering, construction and facilities management industries. Most recently, he was the president and CEO of H.R. Gray from 2004 to 2017. In 2018, he transitioned from president and CEO into the chairman position, from which he later retired in 2019. He has managed projects ranging in size from $2 million to $60 million.

Parker is the former executive director of the Shelby County United Way. He retired from a career as corporate controller and plant manager for the Stolle Corp./Alcoa. Parker is the chair of the board for Ohio Living Foundation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ohio Living, where he has served since 2014. His position as chair affords him a seat on the parent company board for Ohio Living.
