Maxwell Group promotes Blair Quasnitschka to vice president of operations
Blair Quasnitschka has been promoted from executive director to vice president of operations at Maxwell Group, Charlotte, NC, the parent company of Senior Living Communities, Wellmore and Live Long Well Care.
In his new role, he will oversee, train and mentor executive directors and executive teams in Connecticut, Indiana, North Carolina and inland South Carolina.
Quasnitschka began his career with the company in 2017 as the executive director at Evergreen Woods in North Branford, CT. In 2019, he was awarded the company’s Supernova Award for Executive Director of the Year.
Quasnitschka holds an undergraduate degree in sports management from Springfield College. He also has a certificate in long-term care administration and is a licensed nursing home administrator in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts.
Solstice Senior Living hires Essie Noble as regional vice president
Essie Noble has been hired by Solstice Senior Living, Carlsbad, CA, as regional vice president for the company’s South region.
In her role, Noble will be in charge of operations for Solstice communities in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.
Noble brings more than 12 years of experience to the position, including leading sales and operations efforts in many industries, such as senior living, home care and home health. Before joining Solstice, she worked at Brookdale Senior Living, supporting more than 15 communities with sales and marketing initiatives.
Noble has a degree in physical sciences from the University of Arizona.
Pegasus Senior Living hires Josh Lowe as east regional president of operations
Josh Lowe has joined Pegasus Senior Living, Dallas, as regional vice president of operations for the eastern region.
In his role, Lowe will be in charge of the Pegasus communities in Alabama, Georgia and New York. He will handle operations, employee performance, policies and procedures in those areas.
Before joining Pegasus, Lowe was regional vice president at Atria Senior Living. He also formerly was regional director of operations at Dominion Senior Living and an executive director at an Atria Senior Living community in Knoxville, TN.
Lowe holds an undergraduate degree in public health and healthcare administration from East Tennessee State University.
Holden of Bellevue announces three new members of its executive team
Michelle Strazis, Jennifer Angell and Colette Keogh have joined the staff of Holden of Bellevue, a Milestone Retirement-managed assisted living and memory care community in Bellevue, WA.
Strazis is executive director. Previously, she led a Issaquah, WA, senior living community to receive national Bronze and Silver Quality Awards from the National Center for Assisted Living. Additionally, she is a former recipient of the Washington Health Care Association’s Assisted Living Executive Director of the Year award. Before working in the senior living industry, Strazis worked as a CPA for public and private entities.
Angell joins the community as director of sales and marketing. She previously was a community relations director for a senior living community in Issaquah, WA. In this role, she created marketing strategies, managed social media, coordinated events and helped ensure high occupancy. Angell also has property management experience with a 32-story Seattle high-rise community and has received marketing awards.
Both Strazis and Angell worked together in their previous positions. There, they photographed residents of the community to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and were featured on local and national media programs for their work, including the Kelly Clarkson Show, CNN, Access Hollywood, Fox News, the List and Real Simple magazine, among others.
Keogh also is coming on board as director of sales and marketing. She previously was the director of sales and marketing for a retirement community in Renton, WA. Keogh also was a senior account manager for a title and escrow company, as well as a news anchor for KNDO/KNDU TV, an NBC affiliate in Eastern Washington.
Koelsch Communities welcomes Irene Charnell and Terrie Peters
Irene Charnell and Terrie Peters have joined Koelsch Communities, Elk Grove, CA, as an executive director and a director of community relations, respectively.
Charnell, with more than 15 years of experience in the industry, will serve as executive director at The Park at Laguna Springs. She will oversee daily operations of the independent living community.
Peters, with almost a decade worth of senior living experience, will join as director of community relations. She will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, as well as networking with community organizations. Before joining the company, Peters worked at an assisted living and memory care community in Elk Grove, CA. There, she began as an activity director and worked her way up to the role of sales director.
Watercrest Senior Living Group expands leadership team
Shannan Rhodes has joined the Watercrest Senior Living Group, Vero Beach, FL, as sales specialist.
In this role, Rhodes will support sales and marketing leadership for all senior living communities owned and operated by Watercrest Senior Living Group.
She first joined the company in February 2020.
Plante Moran Living Forward promotes Jamie Timoteo to principal
Jamie Timoteo has been promoted to principal at Plante Moran Living Forward in its senior living division of Plante Moran Cresa.
Timoteo first joined the company in 2009 as a financial analyst. In this role, he helped launch the company’s market feasibility practice, a service line driven by the need for senior living providers to be able to identify unmet demands in housing and other services within the communities they serve. Additionally, Timoteo was a key lead in expanding the company’s senior living development practice in Chicago once the team was formalized under the Living Forward name in 2015.
Sabra Health Care REIT announces death of board member Milt Walters
Milt Walters, a founding board member of Sabra Health Care REIT, has died.
“Milt was also a board member at Sun Healthcare Group, dating back to the emergence of that company from its bankruptcy in 2002, which is when I first joined Sun. We’ve had a long, amazing adventure together taking on the most difficult of circumstances with Sun and then essentially starting Sabra from scratch,” said Rick Matros, Sabra chairman and CEO. “He was truly a light unto the world the way he lived his life. He will be missed by the board and team at Sabra more than I can express.”
