Wesley Enhanced Living welcomes John Odike as VP of human potential

John Odike has joined Warminster, PA-based Wesley Enhanced Living as the new vice president of human potential.

He is responsible for developing and implementing an innovative workplace culture designed to inspire employees to achieve their highest potential. Odike will lead the organization’s human resources functions for workforce planning, talent acquisition and retention, and staff and leadership development.  

Odike brings more than 20 years of human resource experience to the position. He previously expanded multiple organizations in the Philadelphia market. 

Odike received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Nigeria and holds a dual master’s degree in human resources management and health care management from Grambling State University. He is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.  

Civitas Senior Living hires Taylor Smith as regional director of sales and marketing

Taylor Smith has joined Fort Worth-based Civitas Senior Living as regional director of sales and marketing.

Her territory will include communities primarily located in Central and Southwest Texas.

Smith has 11 years experience in senior living in roles such as business office manager, sales manager, executive director.

She graduated from Angelo State University with an undergraduate degree in sociology and a minor in psychology.

Ingleside at King Farm has new executive director, Kenya Bryant

Kenya Bryant has been named executive director at Ingleside at King Farm, an Ingleside continuing care retirement community in Rockville, MD. 

Bryant has built up 10 years of experience working at The View Alexandria by Goodwin Living (formerly Hermitage Northern Virginia). She started out as the social services manager before being promoted to the associate executive director and ultimately serving as the interim executive director.  

Bryant holds an undergraduate degree in computer information systems and business administration. She also is a graduate of the Virginia, Maryland, and DC LeadingAge Leadership Academy, is a certified trainer for Dementia Friendly Virginia and Action Pact Resident Centered Care, and is in the process of completing an administrator-in-training program to obtain her skilled nursing administrator license.

The Springs at Butte names Faith Burns executive director

Faith Burns has been appointed the executive director of The Springs at Butte in Butte, MT, a The Springs Living senior living community.

In this role, Burns is responsible for all aspects of community operations, serving almost 100 Butte families.

Burns most recently was the chief financial officer at Senior Solutions Home Care & Hospice in Butte. There, she oversaw budget preparation and accounting information systems, including transitioning the entire organization to more efficient and productive electronic-based systems. She also managed human resources and administration in this role, leading organizational decisions, compliance efforts, business operations and conflict management and resolution.

Burns started her career in the insurance industry before moving to hospice and home health. She has an undergraduate degree in business from Montana Technological University, where she was a member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society.

WesleyLife makes Heather Frank executive director

Heather Frank, who has been serving as long-term interim executive director at The Village, a WesleyLife community in Indianola, IA, has been named executive director there, effective immediately, the company announced Friday.

Frank’s tenure with WesleyLife is long and broad; she helped open Edgewater, a WesleyLife community in West Des Moines, IA, in 2009 as director of assisted living, moving from there to positions with WesleyLife at Home’s network of services.

She accepted the Village interim executive director post last year.
