Solvere Living names Nanette Meeler regional vice president

Nanette Meeler has joined Solvere Living, a St. Petersburg, FL, senior living and active adult operations management company, as regional vice president.

Meeler has more than 23 years of experience in the senior living industry. Before joining Solvere Living, she served organizations as regional director of operations, regional director of sales and marketing, executive director and national director of resident experience. 

She received leadership in wellness management certification from the International Council on Active Aging and most recently participated in ICAA’s COVID-19 Senior Living Task Force.

Meeler is a certified assisted living administrator in North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. She also holds national certified director of assisted living and certified dementia practitioner credentials.

Scott Warden named executive director of The Springs at Missoula

Scott Warden has been promoted to executive director of The Springs at Missoula, The Springs Living’s first Montana-based community. Warden will oversee all aspects of the senior living community, which offers independent living, assisted living and memory care.

Warden joined The Springs Living as the director of community relations at The Springs at Carman Oaks in Lake Oswego, OR. He spent the past 16 months completing the company’s Executive Director in Training program, which prepares high-potential employees for the responsibilities of an executive director.

Before joining The Springs Living, Warden worked on the sales team and in various other positions with seniors for another local retirement community in Lake Oswego for 15 years.

He earned an undergraduate degree in administrative studies from The University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and a master’s degree in divinity from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Cloverland Park Senior Living names Brent Brewer executive director

Brent Brewer has been named executive director of Cloverland Park Senior Living, a new Integral Senior Living community in Brentwood, TN, specializing in assisted living and memory care.

Brewer comes to Cloverland Park with more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry. He has served in various roles ranging from regional operations director to regional marketing and sales director to executive director.

Brewer has an undergraduate degree in healthcare administration and an MBA.

Twin Lakes executive director announces retirement from senior living career

After a 35-year career in senior living, Jim Mayer, executive director of Montgomery, OH-based Twin Lakes, a Life Enriching Communities continuing care retirement community, has announced his retirement effective the end of September.

Since Mayer joined the Twin Lakes team in April 2013, the campus has expanded dramatically, adding 67 independent living accommodations, the Copperlight Cafe and the Shirley M. Davies Community Center, and now serves more than 400 residents. Mayer provided direction for the current construction project that will add almost 12,000 square feet of memory support assisted living services to the campus later this year, along with major renovations to the central campus.

Under his leadership, Twin Lakes remained at 94% occupancy or higher and maintained a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for skilled nursing services. 

Before Twin Lakes, Mayer served in various capacities over 18 years for Hamilton, OH-based Colonial-Community First Solutions; positions included executive director of Berkeley Square, executive director of Colonial Communities and vice president of health services.

He served two terms on the LeadingAge House of Delegates and two terms on the board of LeadingAge Ohio, where he chaired the professional development committee and was instrumental in the development of the Leadership Academy now used by LeadingAge.

Kong Capital hires Jeremy Koster as principal to pursue unique acquisition strategy

Veteran bond trader Jeremy Koster has joined Kong Capital, an Austin, TX, real estate private equity firm, as principal and vice president of capital markets.

Koster brings 20 years of bond trading expertise to the team and is expected to be critical to successfully executing the firm’s unique investment strategy. In his role, he will be responsible for leading the bond trading portion of the multifaceted acquisition strategy.

Before joining Kong Capital, Koster was manager director and head of sales at GMP Securities. There, he developed client relationships in North America and Europe. He also participated in the creation and performance of the Debt New Issue Committee, which provided credit quality analysis, pricing rates, terms and market support for GMP bankers.

Koster began his career at Miller Tabak Roberts, where he created a trading desk business from scratch, which he grew to be part of a trading firm encompassing high-yield, convertible, distressed and emerging market debt that ultimately was bought by GMP.
