Transitions Healthcare, owner and operator of skilled nursing facilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania, completed an acquisition of a 120-bed skilled facility with a CCRC component in Irwin, PA, as part of a two-facility, $20 million transaction.

Transitions Healthcare North Huntingdon officially joined the Transitions Healthcare group on August 1.

“We are thrilled to introduce the North Huntingdon facility as the newest addition to Transitions Healthcare’s growing portfolio,” said Matt Maurano, CEO of Transitions Healthcare. “This facility is a perfect fit for Transitions.”

The second facility in this transaction, Transitions Healthcare Washington, in Washington, PA, is a 120-bed skilled facility with a CCRC component and 48 personal care beds. Both that deal and Transitions Healthcare’s acquisition of Transitions Healthcare Capitol City, a 360-bed skilled facility in Washington DC, are set to close Sept. 1.
