Residents of Villa Gardens, a Front Porch community in Pasadena, CA, recently welcomed third-grade students from nearby Jefferson Elementary School when they hosted the community’s first intergenerational summer camp.
Shared activities at “Camp Villa,” all planned by residents for the four-week event, included lawn sports, swimming, puzzles, crafts, story-telling, music-making and a field trip to a local nature center.
Villa Gardens residents have been tutoring Jefferson Elementary School students for more than 20 years.
