Is ax-throwing the hottest new craze sweeping senior living communities?
Skal Axe Throwing of Biloxi, MS, is bringing a modified version of its urban ax-throwing activity to senior living communities in the area. A mobile target with magnetic axes allows residents to test their throwing ability at inflated targets.
Recently, The Blake Senior Living at Biloxi and Lighthouse Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ocean Springs, MS, held Skal Axe Throwing tournaments in their courtyards. Residents were shown ax-throwing techniques and then competed against each other for T-shirts and other small prizes.
The Blake at Bossier City in Bossier City, LA, set up a foam ax target toss game in its activity room. Residents hurled foam axes at the target, earning points for each successful throw.
