Residents at Woodridge, a DePaul senior living community in Monroe, NC, have had a lot of fun this summer.

“Nothing says summer like the sweet taste of fresh produce, a refreshing pool party or a little competition in the courtyard,” said Woodbridge Administrator Courtni Ages Brown.

Seasonal celebrations, creative crafts and other summer activities have been taking place at the facility over the past few months. Resident Judith Cairns kept cool by the pool and resident Gladys Winston enjoyed a lawn dart competition in the courtyard.

Other activities residents participated in included sunflower crafts and Tiki portraits. In fact, so much fun has been had that residents and staff alike have lost track of time.

“The season goes so quickly,” Brown said. “And our residents are not letting the opportunity to seize the fun with family and friends pass them by.”
