For the 10th consecutive year, residents of Vi at Bentley Village, Naples, FL, recently volunteered their time and contributed their funds to support local students who were about to begin the new school year.

Through an annual fundraising project called Operation Backpack, the senior living community raised funds toward the purchase of backpacks and school supplies for Collier and Lee county children. This year, the community generated more than $5,100 and $2,000 dollars, respectively, for the counties in school supplies and purchased more than 150 backpacks to support the effort.

Residents gathered in the East Clubhouse to fill backpacks with provisions such as notebooks, rulers, pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, glue sticks and other items necessary for the students to complete their school assignments.
