Memory care residents at Poet’s Walk Sarasota got into the holiday spirit when they created their own “ugly sweaters” Dec. 20. Using long-sleeved shirts instead of sweaters because of the warmer Florida temperatures, residents used tinsel, stockings and other silly items to design their masterpieces. Once the shirts were completed and dry, the residents paraded through the building while staff members chose the “ugliest” sweater.
