The American Health Care Association / National Center for Assisted Living released a series of frequently asked questions and answers about the Medicare Accelerated and Advance Payment program on Thursday to supplement the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services fact sheet on the topic.
The document discusses what the accelerated and advance payments apply to, whether CMS will issue a standardized CMS form, payment or reconciliation processes and what is required in a request. It also includes specific recommended language skilled nursing facilities can use when submitting an accelerated or advance payment request.
