For the first time, Brightview Senior Living has been named one of the 2021 People Companies that Care. The award program, conducted by Great Place to Work and People magazine, honors the top companies in the country deemed to demonstrate respect for their associates, communities and the environment.
The Companies that Care award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than five million current employees in the country. In that survey, 90% of Brightview’s employees said it is a great place to work, compared with 59% for the average U.S. company.
“To be recognized as one of the 2021 People Magazine Companies that Care is an honor and a privilege,” Brightview President Doug Dollenberg said in a press release. “At Brightview, we have always been committed to creating a great and rewarding workplace for our associates, and that includes a collaborative team environment and genuine care and concern for our associates and residents. So it is very satisfying to be distinguished as one of the most caring companies in the country.”
Baltimore-based Brightview was ranked 75 in the list of 100 firms honored, and it was the only senior living operator named to the list.
Companies that Care ranks companies deemed to have gone above and beyond to make the workforce a more generous and rewarding place, from community and philanthropic support to employee health and wellness to their response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this month, Brightview was named No. 1 on the Best Workplace for Aging Services lists for 2021 among large senior living and care providers.
