Brookdale Senior Living saw in June its highest second-quarter sequential average occupancy growth in more than 10 years, the Brentwood, TN-based company reported Monday.
The company saw its sequential weighted average occupancy increase by 60 basis points (0.6%), going from 74.6% in May to 75.2% at the end of June.
Additionally, the company saw month-end occupancy increase by 40 basis points (0.4%), from 76.2% in May to 76.6% in June.
A year ago, Brookdale’s sequential weighted average occupancy was 71.2% at the end of June; month-end occupancy in June 2021 was 72.6%
Brookdale’s second-quarter year-over-year weighted average occupancy increased 410 basis (4.1%) points, from 70.5% to 74.6%.
