Erickson Advantage, Erickson Senior Living’s resident-only Medicare Advantage plan, has received top recognition from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for the third consecutive year.

The company received a five out of five stars from CMS in its annual Star Quality Ratings for Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) for 2023. Erickson Advantage is a health plan offered through UnitedHealthcare Insurance Co. It was created exclusively for residents of the continuing care retirement communities managed by Erickson Senior Living.

MA plans are rated on a one-to-five scale, with one star representing poor performance and five stars representing excellent performance. Fewer MA plans earned five stars this year than last year — 57 compared with 74 last year, Healthcare Finance News reported

“For Erickson Advantage to earn this 5-star rating from CMS three years in a row is an incredible achievement,” Matthew Narrett, MD, Erickson’s chief medical officer, said in a statement. “Our six health plan options, which offer additional benefits beyond standard Medicare, place a strong emphasis on preventive care and comprehensive well-being in order to help seniors enjoy a higher quality of life.”
