Latitude Margaritaville, the active adult communities by developer Minto Communities and lifestyle brand Margaritaville Holdings, again will receive national TV exposure all this week when the “Wheel of Fortune” game show takes place amid a custom set including Latitude Margaritaville images and features the giveaway of a new home in one of the communities.
The home, valued at $375,000, will be the grand prize in the program’s Home Sweet Home Giveaway, which will be televised April 26 to 30. The winner will choose a home in one of the Latitude Margaritaville communities in Daytona Beach, FL, Hilton Head, SC, or Watersound, FL.
The themed week on the TV program will feature a special set including images from Latitude Margaritaville communities and Margaritaville-branded products. During the shows, “Wheel of Fortune” contestants will compete to win vacations to Margaritaville Resorts, including properties in Florida, the Caribbean and the Great Smoky Mountains. A specially created “Home Sweet Home” wedge, if landed on during the game and brought to the bonus round, would add a second “Home” envelope to the bonus wheel.
This is the third time Latitude has “hosted” the popular game show. “Wheel of Fortune” featured the active adult community in 2018. Past grand prize winners of the “Home Sweet Home Giveaway” are Michael C. of Dayton, OH, and Audrey K. of Queens, N.Y. It’s an event that has led to increased awareness of the communities among Latitude’s target population, Minto Communities USA President Mike Belmont told McKnight’s Business Daily.
“Our association with the Wheel of Fortune ‘Home Sweet Home Giveaway’ helped us gain more national exposure because many of the viewers of Wheel of Fortune are very similar to the demographic for Latitude Margaritaville communities,” Belmont said. “Through the mass exposure achieved through the sweepstakes, we have received over 180,000 leads that now are part of our marketing database and interest list. We know that, to date, over 50 homes have been sold as a direct result of seeing Latitude Margaritaville on Wheel of Fortune.”
