Chamberlain Senior Care plans to build a “cruise ship on land” in Louisville, KY.
The high-end senior living community will offer amenities such as a restaurant, bistro, tavern and lounges; activity rooms and card room; resident retreat equipped with a coffee bar; a fitness center, spa and therapy pool with underwater treadmills; theater room; and chapel. Another benefit: zero chance of becoming seasick.
The campus will include a mix of independent living, assisted living and memory care residences, said Ian Guttman, a spokesman for the firm. The company plans to break ground in 2016. The campus should be ready for its “maiden voyage” about one year later.
