Wilmington, DE, is the best city to retire to for those seeking an active post-work life, according to SmartAsset.com. The city topped the website’s list for the second year in a row.

In fact, six of the website’s top 10 places for an active retirement are on the East Coast.

To devise its list, the site considered the number of retirement communities, doctors’ offices and golf courses per 1,000 residents, as well as the percentage of older adults in the population, average effective tax rate, the number of fitness-related businesses and walkability as measured by walk scores from walkscore.com.
