AMN Healthcare has announced a Diverse Business Pledge for minority-owned businesses.
The staffing company’s financial support and mentoring initiative aims to help 100 new and small businesses generating less than $1 million in annual revenues to become certified Minority Business Enterprises. MBE certification facilitates partnering and networking opportunities with larger companies, agencies and organizations. Half of the 100 Diverse Business Pledge businesses will be Black-owned.
“Supporting minority business owners through certification funding is an important first step for investment in socio-economic equity for communities historically impacted by systemic racism,” said Cecil Plummer, president and CEO of the Western Regional Minority Supplier Development Council.
AMN Healthcare will select suppliers for MBE certification support in partnership with National Minority Supplier Development Council affiliates in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, along with the Western Regional Minority Supplier Development Council.
