Merger, handshake

LHC Group continued its buying binge Thursday with the acquisition of three home health, hospice and palliative care providers across three states.

The Lafayette, LA-based firm said it will buy Cavalier Health Care Services, based in Alexandria, VA. The deal provides LHC Group a new service area and broadens the company’s access to markets in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

LHC Group also announced the purchase of Evanville, IN-based  MSA Hospice and Crossette, AR-based Ashley County Medical Center Home Health. Those deals will help the company expand its footprint in those respective states.

The company expects to close all three acquisitions by the end of August.

Today’s deals follow three previous acquisitions in the past two months. LHC also announced Thursday it had finalized the purchase of Heart ‘n Home in Oregon and Idaho; Casa de la Luz in Arizona; and Regent Home Health in Texas.

LHC Group is a national provider of in-home care services, operating in 35 states and the District of Columbia.
